Unhealthy Habits
Some of our most unhealthy habits have nothing to do with what you eat or how you move your body -- or don't ! The unhealthy habit that will kill us fastest is that of our own discouragement of our own selves when we fail at meeting the healthy goals we set. And yet that failure is a most human thing. When we learn to be humane in dealing with our shortfalls, we can begin to learn and see that going for your health can be great fun -- when you have support and do it in a very kindly way.

The feeling of having lost hope or losing our self-confidence is also defined as “the act of making something less likely to happen" or of "making people less likely to do something”. Its why so many give up hope completely. So you see how easily the negative messages we send ourselves that drain our hope can be so deadly.

The truth is that going for your health can be great fun -- when you have support and know how to do it in a kindly way. But first we may have to unlearn the unhealthy habits that hold us back, including the state of mind that tells us we're in for something dull, drab, painful or uncomfortable, or even worse!
That unlearning, for me, is part of what increases happiness in learning and in working towards my health-- the reward helps me to feel good in many, many aspects of my life! |
