Learning, Unlearning-- and Re- Education
For those who wish -- Moving Beyond the Mundane Ordinary

Opening the Mind
One of the most unhealthy habits is being stuck in our old ways, stuck in the old thinking of tradition and conventionality. That way is not always deadly, but in health it surely can be. Its a habit that involves the closing of ourselves off from entertaining healthy options because of how we're trained, and no matter what the logic.
Truth -- The Property of All
The means of health should never have become exclusive information, yet to all appearances it seems that medicine and the precepts of the medical mentality has taken over whole societies. The underpinnings of doctors said (medical) profession is that we can't understand or care for our own bodies without the authorities of science and of medicine to guide and fix us. The idea that the body must be fixed or even, sometimes, can be fixed by outside efforts truly doesn't hold much water. ( if you'll pardon the expression:))

Unlearning-- To Learn!
Should you choose it, your health may involve your "unlearning" and re- education , including a deeper learning into what some call "natural" or "alternative" health. To me that is the kind of wellness that is beyond drugging, the illusion that treats only the symptoms and ends up failing us in the end. True wellness beyond the elusive "cures" is a health and energy that stays put and lasts. Nature's ways have power to increase our energy, health and joy exponentially.

Strong Leanings-- An Example
The view that health or illness something of a crap shoot over which we have little control has taken over the generality of human thought. Its now so ingrained in us as to pass unnoticed, and taken as the obvious truth and fact. Nature's advocates believe that health is by far an inside job. We vote for health-- or not-- with our bodies, our feet, our activities and attitudes, our forks and knives and spoons. If we're aren't mindful of the body's needs, no one else can "get" us well.
Without vote or permission of the people, it appears we're somewhat governed by these well- taught notions. Whether witting or unwitting, the hold of these ideas on us is powerful and pervasive. What we believe about our bodies has become as common, invisible and unmovable as the very air we breathe. When we consider ourselves well- educated, sometimes we lose part of our ability to distinguish the truth from falsehood. Believing in the randomness of illness is tempting as it gives allowance for our so- human indiscretions. Yet the cost to those who fall as prey to illness that's avoidable can be great.
Unlearning what we take as natural and for granted can be near impossible, but in this the body itself is a major ally. The body tells no lies, for its results can be clearly seen when one applies him or herself to the learning and discovery of its precepts.

Truth and the Open Mind will Win
When and if we become ready to explore, there are amazing truths to help upraise our health through nature's ways. A good teacher/ mentor will present his or her information and the logic of it to the student, letting them decide what they believe and works for them. The body's logic has been found by many to inspire awe, and its truth must win out in the end.
