                It is also absolutely the very best thing that we can drink.

A glass of water can help with concentration. Studies show it helps us feel more alert and refreshed.  
Water is also noted to help in recovery from hangovers, illness, pain prevention and de-congestion.

 The Best Drink of All
    For our best health, we all know we should avoid caffeinated or sugary drinks. Even fruit juices, sports drinks, lemonade, iced tea and the like may be overloaded with sugar, feeding you empty calories without satisfying your hunger, thus contributing to obesity. If you're not willing to eliminate them from your diet entirely, consider one can of full-sugar soda as an occasional treat—the same way you would a candy bar. In short, water is the best choice for quenching your thirst.

  When it comes to hydrating, NOT all beverages are created equal.


> Sodas and Caffeinated Beverages often thwart body health, actually working against Hydration. In reality, they do not quench your thirst!

    Practically speaking, the chemical reactions created by caffeinated, sweetened and/ or alcoholic drinks demand major amounts of fluid to properly process them in the body. Thus, they can actually set you back water-wise, actually dehydrating your body.


Sodas and Caffeine in Hydration
   Drinks like coffee, black tea and cocoa are very high in purines, toxins that must be diluted in large quantities of water to be flushed from the body. Sugar and coffee also create an acidic environment in the body, impeding enzyme function and taxing the kidneys, which must rid the body of excess acid. Artificial sweeteners also add a toxic load.
     Caffeine in drinks is a diuretic, elevating blood pressure, increasing production and elimination of urine. The body fluids are thus squandered before the water in the drink even has time to make its way into the cells, reducing rather than increasing your body’s water stores. When you’re drinking to hydrate, stick primarily with water. And, if you’re looking for a pick-me-up, try sparkling water with a squeeze of citrus.​
